The process of employee adaptation in an international work environment is one of key challenges faced by contemporary organizations!
  • What determines the adaptation process in contemporary organizations, operating on international markets?
  • Which competencies should be developed by employees willing to work in an international work environment?
  • How to design, implement and analyze properly the effectiveness of the executed adaptation process?
  • What do the employees think about the adaptation process they underwent?

Thanks to the participation in the research project Determinants of the Process of Employee Adaptation in an International Work Environment, you will find answers to these questions.

How is it all possible?

The project executors want to conduct qualitative research (supplemented by quantitative research) and create in-depth case studies on their basis. The adaptation program must be „tailored” and it is necessary to assess the purposefulness of undertaken activities and their effectiveness. Thanks to employees’ opinions it will be possible to assess whether, according to them, the applied tools are effective, well-selected depending on their experience, as well as whether on-boarding helped them in the initial period of work and is sufficiently communicated by an organization.

No sooner than on the basis of these analyses a model of employee adaptation will be developed: it will be taking account of the degrees of work environment internationalization. Moreover a „profile” of an employee who functions in an international work environment will be defined.
