The applied research method

The research will include: sources of normally occurring data (literature, organizational documents) and sources of contrived data (opinions of HR employees, opinions of individuals working in an international work environment).

In their scope the following research methods and techniques will be applied:

  • analysis of literature – focused on the acquisition of information concerning major factors affecting the process of employee adaptation in an international work environment, i.e. characteristics of an individual, tools and organizational procedures and factors of the organizational environment ; the analysis will cover also business internationalization processes as well as their impact on maturity of work environment
  • surveys – addressed to employees from selected companies (20-30 individuals) who have completed the adaptation process
  • structured interview – addressed to the representatives of HR department and/or individuals managing selected companies
  • analysis of organizational documents – permitting the development of in-depth case studies concerning the surveyed
  • statistical conclusions – verification of the presence of interdependencies between the level of work environment internationalization and the effectiveness of the employee adaptation process with the use of parametric and non-parametric tests
